Mining Trade Assistant – Hands-On Field Support

Job summary

Strike Force Services is seeking a dedicated Trade Assistant to support our teams across client sites in the Hunter Valley area. You will assist trade teams with assigned tasks to help fulfil the project scope.

Candidates should have prior trade assistant or labouring experience with a good understanding of tools and equipment, a valid driver’s licence, and the ability to work safely in mining environments. Health and safety compliance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Previous trade assistant or labouring experience with a sound understanding of relevant tools & equipment.
• Current driver's licence (manual licence preferred).
• Own transport to get to & from work.
• Understanding of Health & Safety practises and requirements.
• Keep work areas clean and organised.
• Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
• We have a zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol. Note that testing is ongoing during employment.
• Working Safely at Heights and/or Hot Works.
• Previous experience in a trade assistant or similar role within the mining industry.
• Understanding of health and safety practices and requirements within the mining industry.
• Order 45 Medical.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Responsibilities
