Job summary

Thiess invites a qualified High Voltage Electrician to join our team at Lake Vermont, QLD. You will maintain and service electrical mining equipment, with a focus on safety and reliability. The role operates on a 7/7 day/night roster and is based on site at Lake Vermont.

Requirements include Queensland Electrical Work Licence or equivalent, CPR/LVR, Driver’s Licence, and Standard 11. HV switching certification is desirable. Camp accommodation and meals are provided as part of the offer.

Qualifications

• Queensland Electrical Work Licence or equivalent.
• HV Switching Certification (desirable).
• Proven experience in a similar role within heavy industry, mining or construction.
• Current LVR/CPR certification.
• Valid Driver's Licence.
• Current Standard 11.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of AC Drive Electric Haul Trucks, workshops and facilities in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems.
• Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, servicing, component change-outs and statutory electrical testing and inspections.
• Source technical information from OEM documentation, technical bulletins, reference manuals and computer-based systems while maintaining high housekeeping and equipment utilisation standards.
