Job summary

Next Level Consulting Solutions in Muswellbrook NSW is seeking experienced Boilermakers, Welders and Metal Fabricators for full-time roles on mining projects. You will interpret drawings, fabricate and weld heavy structures, and work with earthmoving equipment in a mining environment.

Candidates should have a Cert III in a relevant trade and at least 3 years of full-time experience, with a track record in heavy fabrication and on-site safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years full-time in a comparable role.
• Cert III in Relevant Trade required.
• Experience in mining environment and on mining plant/equipment.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings/specs for metal fabrication.
• Fabricate/assemble metal structures per plans.
• Operate manual or automated metal cutting/shaping/bending tools.
• Welding across Arc/MIG/Stick/Flux Core with various materials.
• Read welding blueprints and determine requirements.
• Prepare workpieces and set up welding equipment as required.
• Maintain safety, quality, and production timelines.

Responsibilities

New Opportunitiesfor experienced Boilermakers, Welders and Metal Fabricators have presented for those with experience in heavy engineering. You will be working in a mining and resource hot spot, so experience working with heavy structural steel and earthmoving equipment is a necessity. An example of your work could be welding or fabricating dump truck bodies or steel that will be used in mining infrastructure.

Experience and Requirements:

• Minimum 3 Years full-time working in comparable position
• Cert III in Relevant Trade
• Experience working in a mining environment and on mining plant/equipment
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications for metal fabrication projects
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to plans
• Use manual or automated equipment for cutting, shaping, and bending metal
• Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as Arc, MIG, Stick and Flux Core Heavy Welding
• Read and interpret welding blueprints to determine welding requirements
• Prepare workpieces by cleaning, cutting, and fitting metal components
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate methods based on materials
• Conduct inspections to ensure finished products meet quality standards
• Collaborate with team members to optimize fabrication processes
• Maintain records of materials used and production timelines
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently
• Follow welding procedures and protocols for consistent quality
• Complete projects within set timelines and budgets
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Pay and Conditions:

• Base Rate: $35/hr
• $10-$30/hr in allowances based on experience and role
• Total hourly rate: $45/hr - $65/hr
• Full time employment with rostered mining hours
