Rolleston Open Cut is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our on-site team in Central Queensland. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will provide technical advice on the Safety Management System, develop and implement safety systems, and drive risk assessments and incident investigations to support continuous safety improvement.

You will oversee emergency response coordination, maintain equipment registers, and ensure staff are trained in safe work

Qualifications

• Understanding of QLD legislation and statutory obligations.
• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety is required.
• Certificate in Rehabilitation Coordination and experience with Workers Compensation.
• Commitment to personal safety and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical advice and support on the Safety Management System across all departments.
• Develop and implement Health and Safety Systems in line with legal and company requirements.
• Facilitate risk assessments and conduct incident investigations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Rolleston Health and Safety standards via observations and inspections.
• Manage incident and hazard reporting, data quality, tracking and reporting for continuous safety improvement.
• Oversee Emergency Response teams and develop plans for effective response.
• Maintain ERT equipment registry and supervise weekly inspections.
• Educate employees on safe systems of work and procedures.
