About the Role

A leading mining contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join their operational team on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster. This position is ideal for an engineer with solid open cut mining experience who enjoys balancing technical planning work with hands‑on operational engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain short‑to‑medium‑term mine plans and production schedules.
  • Deliver accurate production and performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and superintendents to achieve safe, efficient outcomes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning and operational processes.
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • Proven experience in open cut operations, preferably within gold or hard rock environments.
