Job summary

NRW Civil & Mining invites applications for a Mining Engineer to join a large-scale operation at Karara in Western Australia. The role focuses on safe, short-term planning and scheduling, liaising with operations to meet targets, and driving continuous improvement while upholding health, safety, and environmental policies.

With 8:6 rosters, you will benefit from excellent rates, full-time employment, and extensive leave entitlements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) or relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Extensive experience in an operational engineering role on a production mine site.
• Strengths in planning, scheduling, budgets, and cost control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience operating Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi earth moving equipment.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Job description

NRW has recently been awarded a five-year extension at Karara,providing an exciting long-term opportunity within one of theMid-West's largest mining operations. Karara is the largest miningoperation and first major magnetite mine in the Mid-West, with NRWproviding management and technical services across mining, drilland blast, train load out, miscellaneous works and maintenance.Located just a one-hour flight from Perth, Karara offers excellentcamp facilities, modern mining equipment and a strong team culture,all on an 8/6 roster.

As a Mining Engineer you must possess the following as aminimum:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) or relevant tertiaryqualifications
• Extensive experience in an operational engineering role ona production mine site
• Strengths in planning, scheduling, budgets, and costcontrol
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in the operation of Caterpillar, Komatsu andHitachi earth moving equipment
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
