The role starts Monday 18th January 2027 at our Para Hills West Head Office, where you will train under experienced tradespeople and mentors in welding, fabrication and maintenance for a rewarding long-term career. You will study for a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication) and gain hands-on experience reading drawings, operating workshop machinery, and
Qualifications
- Year 11 schooling required; Certificate II in Engineering Pathways highly regarded.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Interest in fabrication, welding, machining and tool use.
Responsibilities
- Assist with inspection, repair, maintenance and overhaul of mining equipment components.
- Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specs and manuals.
- Safely operate workshop machinery, tools and lifting equipment per procedures.
- Support fabrication, welding and equipment modification while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized workplace adhering to safety and environmental requirements.
- Complete all apprenticeship training including trade school and practical learning.
