Job summary

Global Soil Systems in Hunter Valley, NSW, is seeking an experienced Mine Rehabilitation Operator to join our rehabilitation crews across multiple mine sites. This hands-on role focuses on vegetation management, ground preparation, and safe operation of heavy machinery.

You will operate skid steers and tractors, perform tasks such as slashing, seeding, ripping, ploughing, and maintenance, with a strong emphasis on safety, record keeping, and team collaboration to meet project targets.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ relevant operating experience in agricultural, civil or rehabilitation environments.
• Competency with SOA and/or VOC verifications.
• Confidence operating machinery with various implements.
• Strong mechanical awareness and equipment care.
• Reliable, safety-focused and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication and adaptability to site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate skidsteers and tractors across rehabilitation areas.
• Undertake slashing, mulching, seeding, ripping, ploughing and ground prep.
• Complete daily pre-starts, inspections and basic maintenance.
• Maintain records of plant use and daily work activities.
• Work safely on varied terrain and support crews to meet project targets.
