A prominent mining company in Western Australia is seeking a dynamic leader for their Mine Planning Engineering team. Your role will focus on driving operational excellence and optimizing underground mining forecasts. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Mining Engineering and extensive experience, along with strong leadership and communication skills. Site Allowance + Bonus + 5 wks leave/year
Producing more than 250,000 ounces of gold each year, Gold Fields' Agnew mine site is located in the Eastern Goldfields region.
It is situated 23 km west of Leinster, 375 km north of Kalgoorlie, and almost 1000km from Perth.
Gold Fields acquired the mine in 2001, and gold is sourced from underground operations and processed via the CIP plant.
Most of the almost 650-strong Agnew workforce reside in Perth and work at the mine via a fly-in/fly-out roster.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our iconic Agnew gold mine site for a values-driven, dynamic leader with a passion for driving operational excellence.
Reporting to the Unit Manager: Technical Services, you'll lead the Mine Planning Engineering team, driving safe, efficient, and cost-effective underground operations. Your expertise will shape optimised mining forecasts across short-term implementation through to medium-term (3-year) planning, including annual budgets aligned with our Life of Mine strategy and business objectives.
