Job summary

Argo Natural Resources in Queensland's Bowen Basin is seeking a Mine Accountant to support site operations with accurate financial reporting, month-end processes, budgeting and forecasting. You will collaborate with operations leaders to monitor costs and provide financial insights to guide decision-making.

The role requires site or management accounting experience in mining, a tertiary accounting/finance qualification, strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in site or management accounting, preferably within the mining industry.
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate financial reporting for site operations and support month-end processes, budgeting and forecasting.
• Monitor costs and expenditure, analyse financial performance and review capital requests.
• Provide financial insights to support informed decision-making and assist audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting and cost management processes.
