Job summary

Just Country Australia is seeking a Merchandise Allocator to support allocation and replenishment of inventory across our store network, Ecommerce channel, product launches and trade events. Using sales, stock and demand data, you will recommend and execute initial allocations, replenishment and stock transfers within agreed parameters.

You will also analyse performance, support purchase-order size-profile decisions and continually improve allocation rules, tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Determin[] initial allocations of styles, quantities and size profiles by store.
• Plan and maintain Ecommerce stock availability across launches and selling periods.
• Conduct regular replenishment reviews using sales, stock on hand, weeks of supply, sell-through and incoming POs.
• Develop size curves and PO size profiles using historical sales and current demand.
• Coordinate inter-store and store-to-Ecommerce transfers where beneficial.
• Monitor inventory performance, identify overstock/understock and stock-out risks.
• Develop opening-stock recommendations for new stores and monitor performance.
• Coordinate allocations for product launches, seasonal releases and events.
• Measure allocation performance and use results to improve decisions.
• Develop and document Excel-based allocation tools, processes and controls.
• Support improved rules and automation to scale allocation with less manual work.

Just Country Australia is seeking a Merchandise Allocator to support the effective allocation and replenishment of inventory across our growing store network, Ecommerce channel, product launches and trade events.

As our store network and Ecommerce business continue to grow, we are strengthening our merchandise planning capability to support better stock availability, improved sell-through and more commercially informed inventory decisions.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will work closely with the Merchandise Planner, Product Managers and teams across Buying, Retail, Ecommerce, Sales and Warehouse.

Using sales, stock and demand data, you will recommend and execute initial allocations, replenishment and stock transfers within agreed parameters. You will also analyse performance, support purchase-order size-profile decisions and continually improve allocation rules, tools and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Determining initial allocations of styles, quantities and size profiles by store.
• Planning and maintaining Ecommerce stock availability across product launches and throughout the selling period.
• Completing regular store and Ecommerce replenishment reviews using sales, stock on hand, weeks of supply, sell-through, size availability and incoming purchase orders.
• Developing recommended size curves and purchase-order size profiles using historical sales and current demand.
• Identifying and coordinating inter-store and store-to-Ecommerce transfers where commercially beneficial.
• Monitoring inventory performance and identifying overstock, understock, fast and slow sellers, broken size runs and stock-out risks.
• Developing opening-stock recommendations for new stores and monitoring their trading performance.
• Coordinating allocations for product launches, seasonal releases and trade events.
• Measuring allocation, replenishment and transfer performance and using the results to improve future decisions.
• Developing and documenting Excel-based allocation tools, processes and controls.
• Supporting improved decision rules and automation so allocation processes can scale without increasing manual work.

About You

You are analytical, highly organised and comfortable working with large volumes of sales and inventory data. You can identify what the numbers are showing, translate your analysis into practical stock actions and follow those actions through to an outcome.

You will bring:

• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large sales and inventory datasets.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to translate data into clear stock recommendations.
• An understanding of retail, merchandising, allocation, replenishment and inventory management concepts.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy and follow-through.
• Commercial judgement and the confidence to question stock decisions and make recommendations supported by data.
• The ability to manage multiple brands, channels and competing priorities.
• Clear communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• An action-oriented approach, with the ability to move effectively from analysis to execution.
• A continuous-improvement mindset and willingness to improve allocation rules, tools and ways of working.
• Experience in retail allocation, merchandise administration, assistant planning, buying support and/or inventory analysis will be highly regarded.
• Exposure to a multi-store or multi-channel environment would also be beneficial.
