Job summary

Ammstar Moorabbin is seeking an experienced Mercedes-Benz technician to join our small, skilled team. You’ll work primarily on Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles, from routine servicing to complex diagnostics and repairs.

Ideal candidates have strong diagnostic and electrical skills, experience with Mercedes-Benz or other European makes, and a commitment to high workmanship standards. Mercedes-Benz factory training or equivalent is highly regarded.

• Strong experience as automotive technician, preferably with Mercedes-Benz or other European vehicles.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
• Mercedes-Benz factory training or other European manufacturer training is highly regarded.

Are you an experienced Mercedes-Benz or European vehicle technician looking for the next step in your career?

Ammstar is an established independent Mercedes-Benz specialist with workshops in Moorabbin and Fairfield. We’re looking for an experienced technician to join our Moorabbin team.

This role would suit someone who takes pride in diagnosing and repairing vehicles properly, has strong technical ability and enjoys working as part of a small, experienced team.

Mercedes-Benz Technician – Moorabbin

The Role

You’ll be working primarily on Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles, carrying out everything from routine servicing through to complex diagnostic and repair work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing, servicing and repairing Mercedes-Benz vehicles


• Carrying out complex mechanical and electrical diagnostic work


• Performing final testing and quality control


• Working closely with our service advisors on vehicle and workshop requirements


• Sharing your knowledge with other technicians and apprentices


• Assisting with workshop tooling, equipment and technical resources


• Keeping up to date with Mercedes-Benz technical information, systems and repair procedures

About You

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Strong experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Mercedes-Benz or other European vehicles


• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills


• Experience with modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems


• Familiarity with Mercedes-Benz XENTRY/Star Diagnosis highly regarded


• A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail


• The ability to work well within a small, experienced team


• Good communication skills and a professional approach


• Mercedes-Benz factory training or other European manufacturer training is highly regarded
