Job summary

Urzi Supports is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to assist participants in the Mount Gravatt area with community and home-based support. You will help build independence, confidence and daily-life engagement through empathetic, recovery-oriented practice.

Key requirements include current Yellow Card/NDIS clearance, Blue Card, First Aid/CPR, a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Current Yellow Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid and CPR.
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to write clear progress notes.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Mental Health Support Worker to join our growing team in the Mount Gravatt area.

This role involves supporting participants within the community and home environment to build independence, confidence, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in daily life.

Shifts may include:

• Community access and social support
• Emotional and psychosocial support
• Assistance with daily living tasks
• Capacity building and routine development
• Transport to appointments and activities
• Supporting participants with complex mental health needs

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Empathetic, reliable, and emotionally intelligent
• Passionate about mental health and recovery-oriented practice
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Calm and confident supporting complex presentations
• Professional in communication and documentation
• Current Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
• Current First Aid & CPR
• Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Smartphone and basic technology skills
• Ability to write clear progress notes

Highly Regarded

• Experience supporting psychosocial disabilities
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, Disability or related field
• Experience with ASD, trauma, personality disorders, or dual diagnoses
• Medication competency/training
• Understanding of the NDIS framework
