Healthcare Australia is offering a role at the Darwin Immigration Detention Centre for an experienced Mental Health Registered Nurse. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates, with Monday to Sunday shifts and no night work.

You will conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, care planning, and collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring culturally responsive and person-centred care in a detention setting.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate MH qualification (AQF Level 8+) or 7 years MH nursing experience.
• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
• Experience in mental health assessment, crisis intervention and therapeutic care.
• Experience in correctional health, forensic mental health, AOD or high-acuity settings is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Deliver comprehensive mental health assessments, care planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Conduct mental state and risk assessments, crisis interventions and clinical formulation.
• Provide evidence-based mental health interventions, therapeutic support and psychoeducation.
• Coordinate care and access to health services with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to risk management and quality improvement.
