Northern Sydney Local Health District in Ryde, NSW, is seeking a Stream Nurse Manager to lead the clinical stream, drive practice standards, and oversee workforce management in mental health services.

The role requires RN registration with AHPRA, post-graduate management qualifications, and proven leadership in service development with a strong focus on quality and patient outcomes. NSW driver’s licence is preferred. This is a permanent, full-time position based at Macquarie Hospital.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
• Post-graduate qualification in management or extensive leadership experience in mental health clinical service delivery.
• Demonstrated commitment to service development, change and quality processes.
• Proven ability to manage financial resources.
• Commitment to consumer collaboration and multidisciplinary teams in a recovery framework.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and health-related software.
• Current NSW Driver's licence or ability to obtain one.

What you'll be doing
The Stream Nurse Manager provides leadership across the clinical stream to ensure the delivery of best practice nursing, individual focused care, and management and organisation of the service and workforce.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
• Relevant post-graduate qualification in management or working towards same or extensive post-graduate experience in the management of and leadership in mental health clinical service delivery and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
• Previous successful management of service development change and quality processes.
• Previous successful management of financial resources.
• Proven commitment to the principles and practices of consumer collaboration and working in a Multidisciplinary Teams that promote a recovery framework.
• Advanced written, presentation and computer skills within Microsoft Office and health related software programs.
• Current NSW Driver's licence or ability to undertake.
