Neami National in Alice Springs, NT, is seeking a Mental Health Nurse to join a Medicare Mental Health Centre. You will provide person-centred mental health support, conduct assessments and safety planning, and deliver clinical interventions and crisis support.

You will monitor presentations, develop care and recovery plans, coordinate referrals, liaise with GPs and hospitals, and work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver trauma-informed, culturally safe care to Aboriginal and Torres

Qualifikationen

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is required.
• Mental health experience is highly desirable.
• Strong assessment, crisis response, de-escalation and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Maintain clinical documentation, case notes and reporting requirements.
• Participate in supervision, case reviews and team meetings.

• Provide mental health education and support around medication, wellbeing and recovery within nursing scope of practice.
• Develop and review individual care and recovery plans.
• Support people with complex and co‑occurring mental health needs, including AOD where relevant.
• Coordinate referrals and connect consumers with appropriate health, mental health and community services.
• Liaise with GPs, hospitals, psychiatrists and other service providers to support continuity of care.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside the Clinical Lead, Clinicians, Peer Workers and other Mental Health Nurses.
• Provide trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented and culturally safe care, including working effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
• Maintain clinical documentation, case notes and reporting requirements.
• Participate in clinical supervision, case reviews and team meetings.
• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse required.
• Mental health/community mental health experience highly desirable.
