Mental Health Clinical Nurse Educator – Flexible Leadership

Working within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, you will support consumers through assessment, treatment, and ongoing case management, while enjoying the relaxed coastal lifestyle of Victoria’s southwest region.

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments for adults in the community
  • Develop, implement, and review individualised recovery and treatment plans
  • Provide case management and evidence‑based interventions in line with best practice
  • Deliver outreach support to consumers in their homes or community settings
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists
  • Engage with families, carers, and community agencies to support consumer recovery
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and legislative standards
  • Tertiary qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work
  • AHPRA registration or relevant professional association membership
  • RPN3 level
  • Strong understanding of trauma‑informed and recovery‑oriented care

Locum Mental Health Registered Nurse (Regional/Rural)
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk and needs evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised care plans for patients.
  • Administer and monitor psychiatric medications, observing and documenting effects and side effects.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions such as counseling, behavioural management, and psychoeducation.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients’ mental state, behaviour, and progress throughout treatment.
  • Manage psychiatric emergencies and employ de‑escalation or crisis intervention techniques.
  • Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience in a Mental Health nursing setting from listed countries.
  • At least 3 years of total Registered Nursing experience overall.
  • Experience in a nursing home is a must.
  • Under 40 years old.
  • Registered with AHPRA or eligible for registration.
  • Experience in one or more Mental Health specialties: Inpatient / General Mental Health, Eating Disorders, Community Mental Health, Forensic Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Addiction Services.
  • Willingness to live and work in regional or rural Australia.
  • 5 weeks paid annual leave per year (for shift workers)
  • 10 days paid sick leave per year
  • Shift allowances and overtime pay in accordance with Australian nursing award conditions
  • Superannuation contributions as per Australian employment regulations
Regional Registered Nurse / Clinical Nurse (Permanent)
  • Provide consistent, supportive care to patients across ward, acute, community, and primary health settings.
  • Maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety.
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
  • Minimum 2 years post‑graduate experience.
  • Strong clinical capability and critical thinking skills.
  • Confident working autonomously and within a team.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Patient‑centred approach with a commitment to high‑quality care.

Locum Registered Nurse – General Medical/Surgical (Travel Nursing)
  • Deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care to patients in General Medical and Surgical settings.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, develop and evaluate care plans, and manage acute and chronic patient needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of infection control and patient safety.
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions).
  • Minimum 4 years of nursing experience within Australia/New Zealand in a general medical and/or surgical setting.
  • Sunrise EMR training preferred.
  • Full working rights in Australia; no sponsorship available.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Valid driver’s licence preferred.
  • Willingness to take on travel nursing contracts in regional/remote locations for 4‑12 weeks.
