Universal Store seeks a Menswear Designer to shape our private label collections, from trend forecasting to final production. Based at our Eagle Farm Office with hybrid options, you will influence design across youth fashion, collaborating with design, buying and production teams.

You bring strong graphic and print design skills, experience in menswear or product design, and proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.

Formación

• Experience as Fashion Designer or Menswear Designer in a retail or youth fashion setting.
• Strong understanding of youth fashion and trend drivers.
• Proven ability to translate inspiration into commercially viable products.

Responsabilidades

• Identifying emerging fashion, streetwear and cultural trends that will inspire future collections.
• Designing commercially relevant menswear product that reflects our brand DNA and resonates with the Universal Store customer.
• Creating original graphics, prints, washes and design concepts that bring seasonal stories to life.
• Translating trend insights, customer behaviour and market opportunities into compelling product ranges.
• Driving the design process from concept through to production, ensuring product is delivered to a high standard of fit, quality and execution.
• Collaborating closely with Buying, Planning and Production teams to build balanced and commercially successful collections.
• Conducting garment fittings and sample reviews to continually refine product, fit and construction.
• Partnering with local and international suppliers to source fabrics, develop product innovations and achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Exploring new categories, silhouettes and product opportunities that strengthen our private label brands.
• Staying connected to global fashion movements through trend forecasting, market research, sourcing opportunities and industry inspiration
