Radiation Oncology at Royal North Shore Hospital
The Medical Physics Specialist will provide the medical physics services required by external beam radiation therapy and brachytherapy treatments with minimal supervision of their professional practice. The Medical Physics Specialist will also be involved in education, training, quality improvement, radiation safety, research and development.
The Medical Physics Specialist will initiate improvements in the standard of the department's physics service and cancer care provided, have good communication and practical skills, to work as part of a team and to readily interact with patients receiving cancer treatment as essential general qualities.
