Join Our Growing Team as Head of Medical Oncology at Southpaws!

Southpaws Specialty, Emergency & Referral Hospital – Melbourne, Australia.

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time or Part Time.

Salary package: Generous salary package dependent on experience level, plus other benefits including continued education allowance, leave entitlements, relocation support, wealth creation options, visa and relocation assistance for the appropriate candidate.

We continue to expand our network across Melbourne and are seeking expression of interest from a board-certified Medical Oncologist to lead and grow our Oncology service. The ideal candidate will hold a Board certification with the ACVIM (Oncology), ECVIM (Oncology), RCVS or ANZCVS in Oncology and be eligible for recognition by the Victorian Veterinary Surgeons Board as a Medical Oncology Specialist. Consideration will be given to those who are Board eligible and scheduled to sit their examinations. You must be eligible to practice as a Veterinarian in Victoria.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting career‑defining role working alongside our team of Surgeons, including Dr. Stewart Ryan, Specialist Surgeon and Founding Fellow ACVS (Surgical Oncology). You will enhance our existing Surgical Oncology capabilities, including use of electro‑chemotherapy, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and best possible client/patient experience. You will be supported by an established network of referral Oncology clinicians, residents and interns and will be invited to contribute towards Southpaws strong tradition of providing superior training and development programs for the veterinary profession.
