Job summary

East Grampians Health Service in regional Victoria is seeking a Medical Imaging Technologist to join our growing Medical Imaging team. This role will cover general radiography, CT and PACS/RIS workflow, with on-call commitments across weekdays and weekends and a focus on ALARA principles.

Applicants should have AHPRA registration or be in process, and hold the Victorian Radiation Use Licence. We offer ongoing professional development, accommodation support for 12 weeks and relocation assistance

Qualifications

• AHPRA Registration or eligible and in progress.
• Victorian Department of Health Radiation Use Licence required.
• Extensive experience in general radiography, CT, PACS and RIS.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while following ALARA principles.
• Contribute to CT, X-ray and cross-sectional imaging workflows.
• Participate in on-call roster during the week and weekends.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and skill consolidation.
• Collaborate with Radiology team to support patient care.

About The Role

• The Radiology team provides services from Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm and 24/7 on call over weekends for CT and X-ray imaging.
• As a member of this skilled and professional team you will be encouraged and supported to participate in continuous professional development programs to further consolidate your skills
• The service uses Comrad and InTeleviewer software.
• Demonstrate extensive or special knowledge, experience and competence in the required Radiology specialist modalities.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images that are reasonably achievable given the patient condition and in accordance with the ALARA principles
• AHPRA Registration – or able/ in the process to obtain
• Victorian Department of Health Radiation Use Licence
• Demonstrated high level experience and skills in general radiography, CT, PACS and RIS
• Willingness and ability to participate in the ‘on call’ roster during the week and weekends.
