Job summary

Queensland Government’s Prevocational Medical Education Unit seeks a dedicated educator to develop and run education programs for supervisors of junior doctors, including in-service clinical teaching activities. You will partner with universities and other stakeholders to train clinical supervisors of prevocational trainees, aligning with AMC standards and national frameworks.

In this role you will advocate for and support prevocational doctors facing performance issues, help plan career

Responsibilities

Develop and conduct education programs for supervisors of junior doctors including clinical teacher in service activities e.g. Teaching on the Run including collaborating with universities and or other key stakeholders to educate and train clinical supervisors of prevocational doctors in best practice.
Provide advocacy and support to pre-vocational doctors with performance issues or problems in relation to their clinical unit rotation or stage of training and assist junior doctors with career path development and planning using various consultative processes such as vocational expositions.
Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Training (or equivalent) regarding the appropriate management of junior doctor issues and the development and monitoring of plans to address issues of performance and clinical competence.
Ensure that the management of pre-vocational doctors in the facility is consistent with approved accreditation standards and the National Framework for Prevocational Training.
