Working closely with health services, specialist colleges, government agencies and community stakeholders, you will drive initiatives that expand rural and remote training capacity, support the development of the medical workforce, and enhance opportunities for students, pre-vocational doctors and specialist trainees. This influential role combines educational leadership, stakeholder engagement and clinical expertise to help build a sustainable healthcare workforce for the Territory. Key responsibilities include: * Providing academic and strategic leadership for the Northern Territory Regional Training Hub, with a focus on developing and supporting medical training pathways across rural and remote settings.* Building and maintaining strong partnerships with health services, specialist medical colleges, government agencies and other stakeholders to increase training capacity and workforce sustainability.* Leading, mentoring and supporting medical students, pre-vocational doctors and specialist trainees through teaching, supervision, career development and educational innovation.* Contributing to curriculum leadership, accreditation activities and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality medical education outcomes and training experiences.This position makes a significant contribution to the University’s strategic plan to change 10 million lives, Every One Matters, by 2035, through directly contributing to the core enabler of Stronger Together, fostering collaborative partnerships across the health, education and community sectors to strengthen medical training pathways, build workforce capability and improve health outcomes in rural and remote communities.**About You** You are an experienced medical practitioner and educator who is passionate about developing the future healthcare workforce in rural and remote communities. With a strong understanding of the Northern Territory health system, you bring a collaborative leadership style, contemporary clinical expertise and a proven ability to build meaningful partnerships that support high-quality medical education and training. You thrive in complex environments, enjoy mentoring emerging clinicians and are committed to improving health outcomes through education and workforce development.To be successful in this position, you will have: * Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), supported by extensive contemporary clinical experience in primary or secondary healthcare settings within the Northern Territory.* Demonstrated excellence in tertiary, clinical and/or simulation-based teaching, with experience supporting learners across multiple stages of their medical training journey.* Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, healthcare professionals, universities, specialist colleges and other key stakeholders.* Experience providing educational leadership, mentoring and strategic input into medical education programs, with knowledge of rural and remote training pathways and accreditation processes highly regarded. **Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT** At Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory.
