About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Media Officer to join our high‑performing Communications, Engagement and Media team. In this fast‑paced, impact‑focused role you will help shape and protect Council’s reputation through proactive media relations, strategic communication and crisis response.

  • Day‑to‑day media operations including media releases, media monitoring and online newsroom management.
  • Coordinate and produce the weekly Tweed Link, ensuring timely publishing and distribution.
  • Provide media support during crisis and emergency situations, requiring flexibility and responsiveness outside normal hours.

  • Base salary ranging from $84,316 per annum with competency‑based increments up to $99,874 per annum, plus 12% super.

Where It’s Located

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
