Job summary

CleanCo in Queensland seeks a Mechanical Tradesperson to maintain and improve reliability of critical generating assets at the Wivenhoe Power Station. You will perform mechanical maintenance, inspections and overhauls to support safe, low-emission energy for Queensland customers.

Key duties include fault-finding on rotating equipment, coordinating contractors, maintaining records, and collaborating with operations and engineering teams to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate and have hands-on experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining, utilities or power generation environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability on rotating equipment and plant assets.
• Experience with permit-to-work and safety management systems.
• Clear communication and collaboration with tradespeople, contractors and operations teams.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Complete inspections, fault finding and diagnostics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support major equipment overhauls and maintenance campaigns.
• Help improve systems and work practices for reliability and safety.
• Coordinate contractors and support operational activities during peak periods.
• Maintain accurate technical records and documentation.
