The Opportunity

Do you have a passion for mechanics or are you an experienced Mechanical Operator? We would like to hear from you! Come join our friendly team here at Tarago, NSW 2580.

As a Mechanical operator you will be responsible for operating, maintaining and servicing gas engines, plant and equipment at the Woodlawn site.

Day shift - Monday to Friday with overtime as required. On call weekend roster.

What you'll be responsible for
  • To service, maintain and repair engines and equipment
  • Complete scheduled daily work tasks as directed, with guidance from the Supervisor/Leading Hand in an efficient and timely manner
  • Complete work orders, monitor stocks and part requisitions
  • Record and monitor operational plant while conducting preventative or breakdown maintenance
What you'll need to be successful
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and willing to continuously improve mechanical/electrical skills
  • Experience within the automotive repair industry would be beneficial
  • An Australian recognised Automotives / Diesel / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic's or Electrical trade certificate would be advantageous but not essential for the right candidate
  • Open to anyone with mechanical skills looking to upskill or gain experience within an emerging industry
  • A strong focus on healthy and safety
