Neighbourhood Trades is seeking qualified Mechanical Plumbers, Gas Plumbers or HVAC Technicians along with 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Apprentices to join our Melbourne team. We offer hands-on training, ongoing work and a path to career progression in a growing company.

Qualifications

• :Qualified mechanical plumber/gas plumber or HVAC technician with Victorian registration/licensing.
• :Ideally 3–5 years' experience in mechanical plumbing, gas fitting or HVAC.
• :Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• :Experience with gas ducted heating, evaporative cooling and split-system air conditioning.
• :Experience with ductwork renewals, replacements and installations.
• :Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs.

Neighbourhood Trades is looking for qualified Mechanical Plumbers, Gas Plumbers, experienced HVAC Technicians and 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentices to join our growing Melbourne team.

We specialise in residential Plumbing, Electrical, Heating & Cooling, with a strong focus on gas ducted heating, evaporative cooling, split systems, mechanical plumbing, ductwork renewals, servicing, repairs and installations.

We're looking for reliable, motivated tradespeople and apprentices who take pride in their workmanship, enjoy problem-solving and want to build a long-term career with a growing company.

The Work

• Gas ducted heating servicing, repairs and installations.

• Ducted heating and cooling system servicing and installations.

• Ductwork renewals, replacements, repairs and upgrades.

• Installation and replacement of flexible ductwork, fittings, registers and outlets.

• Split-system air conditioning servicing, repairs and installations.

• Evaporative cooling servicing, repairs and installations.

• Gas appliance servicing, repairs and fault finding.

• Gas fitting and mechanical plumbing works.

• Heating and cooling breakdowns, diagnostics and preventative maintenance.

• Identifying faults and recommending suitable repair or replacement options.

• Communicating clearly with customers and providing practical solutions.

• Attending residential servicing, maintenance and installation jobs throughout Melbourne.

Apprentices will assist qualified tradespeople with servicing, installations, duct renewals and maintenance while developing their skills under appropriate supervision.

What We're Looking For

Qualified Mechanical Plumbers / Gas Plumbers / HVAC Technicians

• Relevant trade qualifications and current Victorian registration or licensing appropriate to the work performed.

• Ideally 3–5 years' experience in mechanical plumbing, gas fitting or HVAC.

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Experience with gas ducted heating, evaporative cooling and split-system air conditioning.

• Experience with ductwork renewals, replacements and installations.

• Confidence working independently and managing multiple jobs throughout the day.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to identify additional work and explain repair and replacement options to customers.

• Current driver's licence.

• Reliable, professional and committed to delivering quality workmanship.

2nd, 3rd & 4th Year Apprentices

• Currently undertaking a relevant Mechanical Plumbing, Plumbing, HVAC or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning apprenticeship.

• Previous experience with heating and cooling installations, servicing or ductwork advantageous.

• Genuine interest in mechanical plumbing and HVAC systems.

• Willingness to learn, follow instructions and develop technical skills.

• Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively within a team.

• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.

• Current driver's licence preferred.

• Commitment to completing their apprenticeship and developing a long-term career.

Experience with Brivis, Braemar, Bonaire, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu or Daikin will be highly regarded.
