WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer Trade - Mechanical to join our field operations team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will maintain water infrastructure assets, perform mechanical maintenance, and support emergency response while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering with a strong preference for Fitter Machinist (Metals).
• Experience in mechanical maintenance, overhaul, repair and fabrication of metal components within industrial/utilities/water/energy/mining or heavy asset environments.
• Ability to diagnose issues from drawings/schematics and implement compliant solutions.
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team while managing competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service water infrastructure assets including dams, river systems and associated mechanical plant.
• Undertake surveillance, inspection and monitoring of water supply assets to ensure quality delivery.
• Execute operational maintenance and minor capital works to support preventative maintenance programs.
• Respond to emergency and incident events following management policies and procedures.
• Document maintenance activities, inspections and defects in CMMS for decision-making and compliance.
