About The Role

National Glass are pleased to offer positions for a Mechanical Fitter available at our Geebung Location.

The Mechanical Fitter will undertake a variety of manufacturing duties, including but not limited to :

  • Carry out routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on glass manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs on mechanical systems including conveyors, cutting lines, furnaces, and handling machinery.
  • Complete work in accordance with maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and maximise plant availability.
  • Accurately record all maintenance activities in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Follow safe work procedures, company policies, and quality standards in all tasks.
  • Collaborate with production teams to prioritise urgent repairs and coordinate planned maintenance activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues and suggesting enhancements to preventative maintenance programs.
