Flottweg, a leading German manufacturer of mechanical solid-liquid separation technology, offers a 4-year Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship in Sydney (Artarmon). The role is full-time, with site work and occasional interstate travel, and includes a company car and travel allowances.

Join an experienced team while completing MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, through hands-on training and structured supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have a safety-first mindset and the ability to troubleshoot.
• Strong teamwork and communication within an experienced service team.
• Attention to detail with accurate record-keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled inspections, servicing and overhaul of mechanical decanter centrifuges.
• Conduct routine services – inspection, wear-part and consumable replacement and test runs.
• Conduct major overhauls – rotor removal, scroll & bowl strip-down, bearing and seal replacement, reinstallation and test runs.
• Documentation and reporting – job cards, checklists, test-run records, recommendations, service reports and timesheets.
• Work in accordance with quality and safety standards and processes – site inductions, lockout/tagout and permit-to-work procedures.
