Want a better career, a real team and an employer you trust?

Get it done at M2P

M2P Engineering is an Australian-owned construction, engineering and fabrication business delivering structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) projects across the mining, energy and heavy industrial sectors.

Since starting out in 2017, we’ve grown into a business delivering major projects across Australia, supported by our fabrication workshops in Salisbury, Orange and Adelaide. We bring together engineering expertise, practical manufacturing capability and project delivery experience to solve complex challenges for our clients.

Our Products team builds on that capability, developing engineered products that solve real operational problems.

We’ve grown quickly, but we haven’t forgotten what matters most: our people. We take pride in a practical, hands‑on culture where people are trusted to take ownership, supported by their team and able to see the impact of their work.

Join us as a Mechanical Engineer – Products, and bring your ideas and expertise to a growing product range backed by a business that can design, build and deliver.

M2P Engineering

Brisbane, Queensland > Salisbury

Full Time

In our Products team, you will have the opportunity to take a design from an initial idea to a tested, manufactured product. You’ll work across the design, development and verification of M2P’s engineered product range, with a strong focus on inflatable and safety‑critical systems.

The work calls for sound engineering judgement and a practical understanding of how materials, designs and manufacturing processes perform in real conditions. You’ll use mechanical analysis, calculations and physical testing to challenge assumptions, refine designs and build confidence in the finished product.

Working closely with manufacturing teams and within an ISO 9001 certified environment, you’ll help deliver products that are safe, reliable and practical to produce. You’ll also have a voice in how we work, helping strengthen our engineering processes, support junior engineers and shape the next stage of our product range.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Leading product design and development from concept through to production release
  • Developing solutions that build on our inflatable safety product range, including monitoring, control, deployment and retrieval devices
  • Preparing designs and technical documentation for manufacture, working with manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges
  • Developing and conducting physical test programs to validate finite element analysis (FEA), engineering calculations and design assumptions
  • Translating client requirements and operating conditions into clear design criteria and verification methods
  • Strengthening design controls, change management practices and technical documentation
  • Mentoring junior team members and sharing your engineering knowledge
  • Identifying opportunities to improve existing products and develop new solutions

What you’ll bring

You will bring a practical mindset, curiosity about how things work and the discipline to test and verify your designs. You’ll be comfortable taking ownership of your work, collaborating with others and explaining the thinking behind your engineering decisions.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience in product design and development
  • Strong mechanical analysis skills, including FEA and first‑principles calculations
  • Hands‑on experience planning and conducting physical test programs, interpreting results and using them to inform design decisions
  • A practical understanding of design verification and validation methodologies
  • Clear technical communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience with inflatable, flexible, polymer, composite or pressure‑based systems
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 design controls, change management and technical documentation
  • Experience developing test protocols where established standards are limited or do not exist
  • A background in mining, energy, infrastructure or industrial product environments
  • An interest in helping build and strengthen engineering capability, processes and systems

Why M2P Engineering?

We’ve come a long way, and there’s more ahead. As our Products team grows, you’ll have room to broaden your experience, contribute to decisions and help shape what comes next.

So, what can you expect from a career with us?
