Take ownership of critical assets and help shape the future with us!
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast‑furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.
We are seeking a driven and technically capable Mechanical Engineer to join our high‑performing team at our award‑winning underground, Aquila. As a walk‑on, walk‑off longwall mine, we offer the stability of an established operation combined with the opportunity to work on some of the industry's most critical mining equipment and infrastructure.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent EEM, you will take a hands‑on approach to engineering, working collaboratively with maintenance and operational teams to improve asset reliability, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure the safe and efficient delivery of production outcomes.
