About the role

Our Adelaide office is seeking a Mechanical and Pipeline Engineer. In this role, you will:

  1. Provide technical support in engineering and design processes for oil and gas pipelines.
  2. Develop and support FEED and concept design studies, including detailed design calculations.
  3. Assist in developing scoping documents such as routing studies, construction methodology, design criteria, and pipeline alignment sheets.
  4. Participate in risk assessments and related workshops.
  5. Prepare and support cost estimates, equipment summaries, and tender packages.
  6. Prepare piping and pressure vessel design documents, and analyze static equipment.
  7. Conduct mechanical engineering design and documentation from concept through to construction.
  8. Write technical reports as needed.
About You

To succeed, you should have:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field, with relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, especially pipeline design, piping, pressure vessels, and static equipment analysis.
  • Proven experience in Australian oil and gas pipeline projects, including concept, FEED, and detailed design phases.
  • Knowledge of AS2885 and other relevant Australian standards, acts, and regulations.
  • Progress towards or achievement of Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Australia.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects independently with conflicting deadlines.
  • Experience in oil and gas facilities or similar heavy industries.
  • Experience in developing and applying engineering standards, systems, and processes.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
