Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Melbourne is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to oversee large scale commissioning programs in data centres. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical/HVAC qualification, experience in air balancing, and strong communication skills. This role offers a great opportunity to be involved in all commissioning stages and the potential for sponsorship after six months for qualifying applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience in data centre environments is preferred but not essential.
• Must be able to work autonomously.

Job description

MCR are looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to work on large, high profile data centre commissioning projects in Melbourne. You will oversee and run large scale commissioning programs in their entirety within Data Centre environments. The nature of this role is to provide engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate and execute full life cycle of commissioning of critical facilities. You will be involved in all stages of commissioning, from early design, managing commissioning scripts, witness testing and logistics.

Requirements:

• Mechanical/HVAC qualified by trade or degree
• Air Balancing commissioning experience
• Data Centre experience preferred yet not essential
• Excellent documentational skills, strong communicator and technically minded
• Must know how to present complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work automously
• Sponsorship could be on offer after 6 months for a working holiday visa holder with prior data centre commissioning experience.
