Job summary

Service Stream in Brisbane, QLD is seeking multiple Mechanical Apprentices to join the UU MECS contract. The role involves supporting the mechanical program under the supervision of a qualified Mechanical Fitter and carrying out maintenance on water and wastewater infrastructure to keep assets performing at their best.

Permanent, full-time positions with a safety‑first mindset and teamwork at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Current Driver’s License is required.
• Ability to integrate with multidisciplinary team.
• Professional and courteous with clients and subcontractors.
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead with safety and uphold values Delivery, People and Accountability.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Perform Wastewater, Water Construction and Maintenance tasks.
• Undertake and participate in job and plant hazard identification and incident notifications.
• Attend and actively participate in team and toolbox meetings.
• Lead or assist in the completion of a job through the mobile field computing system.
• Installation and augmentation of major assets/ plant/ installations.
• Maintenance job compliance and ensuring processes and procedures are followed to maintain a safe workplace.
