Job summary

Lhr is seeking a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic to support our Dandenong South facility. The role covers pre-delivery, service, and breakdown work on industrial equipment and vehicles, with training available to broaden skills.

You will perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical tasks, reading drawings and parts lists, and contribute to a dynamic, inclusive team dedicated to keeping operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in light vehicle mechanics or related qualification.
• Relevant industry experience is highly desirable.
• Solid mechanical and troubleshooting capability with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day technical activities related to vehicle and equipment pre-delivery, manufacturing, service and breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical maintenance within defined standards.
• Collaborate with team to ensure equipment is ready for operation and safe to use.

THE POSITION:
Located primarily at our Dandenong South facility, you will be performing day-to-day technical activities related to vehicle and equipment pre-delivery, manufacturing, service, support, and breakdowns.
You will need a relevant Trade certificate:

• Light Vehicle Mechanic
• Other related qualification
• Relevant industry experience is highly desirable.

Ideally, you will have a range of skills covering mechanical fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, general maintenance and electrical technical areas. Training to complete your skillset is available to make you a success! You will have a mechanical mindset with a natural ability and interest to understand technical drawings, parts, and equipment operation.
