Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid manual drivers licence and ability to tow a trailer.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a talented small engine vehicle mechanic to join our dedicated team. This crucial role ensures that our operations run smoothly every day by maintaining and repairing the light vehicle fleet and all small plant that are essential to our work. Your expertise will be key to making sure these machines are safe, cost‑effective and always ready to tackle the tasks at hand.

As a Mechanic your primary focus will be on keeping our equipment in optimal condition. This involves performing regular maintenance, executing timely repairs and coordinating with the rest of the crew to ensure seamless operations. Your work will play a significant role in reducing downtime for our field workers helping us complete projects efficiently and without delays.

Responsibilities
  • Provide service maintenance and repairs to a wide range of turf maintenance machinery including tractors, mowers, vehicles, sprayers and small engines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and ensure equipment is ready for operation.
  • Conduct diagnostics and repairs on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform some onsite / mobile servicing as required.
  • Sourcing and ordering of parts and liaise with suppliers where required.
  • Maintain accuracy in service records and inventory of parts, oils and filters.
  • Ensure the workshop is kept clean, organised and compliant with all WHS standards.

About You
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate required.
  • Experience with maintenance and repair of light vehicles / small plant equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Experience servicing of fine turf equipment.
  • Current Working with Childrens card and Construction White Card.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Possession of a valid manual drivers licence and ability to tow a trailer is essential.
  • Welding and Fabrications experience advantageous (not essential).
  • Diesel engine experience advantageous (but not essential).
