Job summary

ETS Infrastructure Management in Townsville is seeking a skilled Mechanic for our workshop-based role with some field work. You will service and repair our fleet, including trucks, utes and EWPs, attend breakdowns, perform inspections and uphold strict safety and cleanliness standards.

The ideal candidate has diesel and hydraulic equipment experience, knowledge of EWPs and vegetation equipment, and strong documentation and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel trucks and hydraulic equipment preferred.
• Understanding of EWPs, utes, chippers and vegetation equipment.
• Clear documentation of work performed.
• Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Service and repairs on fleet including trucks, utes, EWPs, chippers and small plant.
• Attend to breakdowns and repairs as required.
• Carry out inspections to required standards in a timely manner.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times.

Job description

ETS is looking to hire a skilled, qualified, and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic fleet services team. This is a workshop role based at our Townsville workshop, with occasional field work/breakdown works.

Your day will consist of an interesting variety of work including:

• Undertaking service and repairs on our fleet of trucks, utes, EWP’s, chippers & small plant
• Attending to breakdowns & repairs
• Carrying out inspections in a timely manner to required standards
• Maintaining a safe & clean work area

Skills & Experience:

• Knowledge and experience working on diesel trucks and hydraulic equipment is preferred
• Ideally you will have a technical and practical understanding of EWP’s, utes, chippers and vegetation maintenance equipment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to accurately complete work-related documentation is essential.
• Proven ability to work unsupervised, autonomously and in a team environment
• A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures.

Salary Package includes:

• Circa $50 per hour in line with your skills and experience, plus overtime paid at penalty rates
• 12% Super
• Optional Monthly RDO (rostered day off)
