Job summary

Programmed is recruiting Meat Process Workers and Machine Operators for a leading food manufacturer in Truganina. Immediate start with full training provided. You will work in a cold environment (~7°C) handling and processing raw beef and pork and operating production machinery.

Shifts are Day Shift, approximately 5:30 AM - 3:50 PM, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency on busy production lines. Applicants should have working rights in Australia and be able to pass assessments.

Qualifications

• Experience in food production, manufacturing or meat processing preferred.
• Able to operate production machinery (Machine Operator roles).
• Willing to work in a cold environment (~7°C) and handle raw beef and pork.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass assessments.

Responsibilities

• Work in a temperature-controlled environment (~7°C).
• Handle and process raw beef and pork.
• Debag large cuts of beef and pork and transfer to production lines.
• Operate production machinery.
• General meat processing and packaging duties.
• Load and unload crates onto production lines.
• Use a small hooked knife to safely remove packaging from meat products.
• Maintain production line efficiency and meet daily production targets.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
• General housekeeping and keeping the work area clean.

Meat Process Workers / Machine Operators

Programmed is currently seeking reliable and motivated Production Workers and Machine Operators to join a leading food manufacturing company based in Truganina.

These positions offer an immediate start with full training provided. Successful candidates will work in a fast-paced production environment processing and packaging raw beef and pork products.

What's on offer

• Day Shift: Monday to Friday
• Hours: Approximately 5:30 AM - 3:50 PM
• Pay Rate: $32.18 per hour
• Full training provided

About your new role

• Working in a temperature-controlled environment (approximately 7°C)
• Handling and processing raw beef and pork products
• Debagging large cuts of beef and pork and transferring products onto production lines
• Operating production machinery (Machine Operator positions)
• General meat processing and packaging duties
• Loading and unloading crates onto production lines
• Using a small hooked knife to safely remove packaging from meat products
• Maintaining production line efficiency and meeting daily production targets
• Following food safety, hygiene, quality, and workplace safety procedures
• General housekeeping and maintaining a clean and organised work area

About you

• Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, machine operation, or meat processing (preferred)
• Experience operating production machinery (for Machine Operator roles)
• Comfortable working in a cold environment (approximately 7°C)
• Comfortable handling raw beef and pork products
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (must successfully complete an assessment)
• Full Australian working rights
• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual handling
• Able to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment
• Willing to remove jewellery, piercings, fake nails, nail polish, eyelash extensions, and hair extensions before commencing work
• Able to complete pre-employment requirements and mandatory online training
