Qualifications

• Current MC Driver's Licence.

About the Role

You will be responsible for road train combinations and occasional 50T Float movements to transport drilling equipment, consumables and associated materials across regional Western Australia. The role varies with metro pickups, long-distance travel and overnight stays away from home for up to eight nights at a time on some trips (overnight allowances paid). This role would ideally suit a part-time driver or semi-retired operator seeking a flexible position with a mix of local and regional work.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently across regional WA.
• Transport drilling equipment, materials, and supplies to various project locations, such as the Gold Fields and Pilbara.
• Collect consumables and materials from in the Perth metropolitan area and deliver them to operational sites.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials when required.
• Conduct pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate fatigue management records, logbooks, and transport documentation.
• Comply with all relevant road transport legislation, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Report vehicle defects, incidents, and maintenance requirements promptly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the transport and logistics function.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A current MC Driver's Licence.
• Previous experience towing and reversing trailers.
• A minimum of 2 years road train driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of road transport legislation and safe driving practices.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.

Desirable Qualifications

• Current Forklift Licence (preferred).
• Applicants without a Forklift Licence may be considered, with training provided to the right candidate.
