Qualifications

• Current MC Class Licence with a clean driving record and no significant traffic violations.
• Proven experience operating articulated tanker vehicles in road transport.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine vehicle checks.
• Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate and safely drive articulated tanker vehicles (MC) in compliance with relevant regulations and company safety policies.
• Conduct pre-journey and post-journey vehicle inspections to ensure the tanker is in safe working condition.
• Manage loading and unloading procedures, ensuring proper containment and documentation of hazardous materials.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery documentation and records per legislative requirements.
• Deliver tanker loads to specified destinations on time while maintaining professional customer service standards.
• Follow safety protocols and best practices for transporting hazardous materials, including use of safety equipment.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and team members regarding delivery updates and issues.
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle and comply with fatigue management regulations.
