Job summary

Hervey Bay Nurseries is seeking an Interstate Linehaul Driver with an MC license and B-Double interstate experience. You will operate our modern fleet, primarily on routes between Hervey Bay, Sydney and Melbourne, with varied trips and minimal manual handling.

Rates are cents-per-kilometer, and forklift experience is a plus. Deliveries must be on time, with accurate loading and paperwork completed on each run.

Qualifications

• Current MC license with proven B-Double interstate experience.
• Strong, safe driving record and compliance with WHS and Chain of Responsibility regulations.
• Ability to maintain a work diary (BFM) and accurate paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on time to ensure product freshness upon arrival.
• Transport goods safely and efficiently with correct loading/unloading and paperwork.
• Accurately complete and promptly submit all paperwork.
• Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks; report issues promptly.
• Adhere to traffic laws and transportation procedures.
• Arrive fit and ready for each shift and maintain a professional Roadside presence.

Join Our Team as an Interstate Linehaul Driver

Are you a motivated, professional MC driver with BFM, ready to join a dynamic team? Drive interstate with us in our safe, modern fleet, delivering products to cross-dock locations.

About the Role

Primary Routes:

Hervey Bay to Sydney and return

Hervey Bay to Melbourne and return

Hervey Bay to Sydney, Melbourne, and back to Hervey Bay

Rates: Cents-per-kilometer rates apply.

Equipment: Semi and B-Double trips as per customer orders; some B-Double trips may require trailer splitting at yard drop-offs.

Handling: Minimal manual handling, primarily forklift/trolley unloading.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver on time to ensure product freshness upon arrival.

Transport goods safely and efficiently, verifying accurate loading and unloading with correct completion of paperwork.

Accurately complete and promptly submit all paperwork.

Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks (fuel, oil, tires, lights, etc.), reporting any issues immediately.

Adhere to traffic laws and transportation procedures.

Arrive fit and ready for each shift, on time.

Present a professional and courteous manner on the road and at customer locations.

Qualifications & Skills

Current MC license with proven B-Double interstate experience.

Strong, safe driving record.

Knowledge of driving hours and ability to maintain a work diary (BFM required).

Understanding of WHS and Chain of Responsibility regulations.

Forklift license (preferred, but not essential).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong numeracy, and the ability to follow instructions precisely.

Professional demeanor, reliability, flexibility, and a \"can-do\" attitude.

Physically fit, and capable of some manual handling.
