Job summary

Programmed Skilled Workforce is recruiting experienced MC Truck Drivers for Whitehaven Coal in the Gunnedah Basin. This local haul position offers home after each shift, a modern fleet, and overtime opportunities in a safety-driven environment.

Role involves transporting coal between site operations to Gunnedah CHPP with A-Double side tippers on a day or afternoon shift, in a dedicated local haul. Training for HC to MC is available.

Qualifications

• Current HC/MC driver licence required.
• RMS driving record current and clear.
• Ability to pass NSW Coal Board Medical and drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate A-Double side tipper safely.
• Complete pre-start inspections and required documentation.
• Follow site procedures and safety standards at all times.
• Work collaboratively with site personnel to maintain efficient operations.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high operational standard through daily checks.

Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently recruiting experienced MC Truck Drivers to join our client, Whitehaven Coal, operating within the Gunnedah Basin.

About the Role

Working as part of a professional transport team, you will be responsible for safely transporting coal between site operations to Gunnedah CHPP using A-Double side tippers. This is a dedicated local haul within the Gunnedah Basin, offering consistent workloads and reliable hours without long distance travel.

Available shift options include:

• Day Shift: 4:00am - 2:30pm
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm - midnight

Key Responsibilities

• Operate A-Double side tipper combinations safely and efficiently
• Complete pre-start inspections and required compliance documentation
• Follow site procedures and safety standards at all times
• Work collaboratively with site personnel to maintain efficient operations
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high operational standard through daily checks

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and professionalism and possess:

• Current HC/MC Driver Licence
• Current RMS Driving Record
• Ability to pass NSW Coal Board Medical, Functional Capacity Evaluation including drug and alcohol testing
• Able to complete police check and complete online inductions
• Excellent driving history and safety awareness
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous heavy vehicle driving experience
• Side tipper or rear tipper experience (preferred, however training can be provided)

Applicants should either reside in the Gunnedah region or be willing to relocate for this opportunity.
