Job summary

Mort & Co Transport in Australia is seeking an experienced MC Driver to join our Commodities team. You will ensure timely delivery of commodities and oversee loading/unloading from trucks, while upholding safety and animal care standards.

This permanent, full-time role requires a current MC licence, at least 1 year of heavy vehicle experience, and the ability to work a five-in-seven roster, including weekends. Training and fatigue management support are provided.

Qualifications

• Current MC licence and at least 1 year's experience in heavy vehicle transport.
• Experience with safe loading and unloading of cattle/commodities.
• Alignment with Mort & Co values and safety culture.
• Willingness to work a five-in-seven roster including weekends.
• Ability to sleep in the truck during rest breaks if fatigue management requires.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to ongoing growth, we now have permanent, full-time opportunities for MC Drivers to join our Commodities team. Our Drivers are responsible for the timely delivery of commodities for internal and external clients, as well as overseeing the loading and unloading process.

ABOUT YOU

To succeed as a Mort & Co Driver you will have a strong commitment to safe work and upholding exceptional animal safety and care.

You will also bring:

• Current MC licence and at least 1 years’ experience in heavy vehicle transport.
• Experience with that safe loading and unloading of cattle/and or commodities from trucks either individually or with assistance.
• Alignment with the Mort & Co Values
• A Commitment to workplace health & safety and safe driving practices
• Availability to work a roster comprising any five in seven days (including weekends) while working within logbook guidelines.
• An understanding that where required for fatigue management, drivers may need to sleep in the truck during rest breaks.
