Job summary

Express Employment Professionals – Smithfield NSW is seeking an experienced MC Truck Driver for a full-time, permanent role based in Smithfield. You will transport bulk liquids, including chemicals and edible oils, with strict safety and compliance standards.

Starting early between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM, you will handle loading/unloading, complete paperwork, and work with a supportive team across operations and dispatch. Overtime applies and two months of training is provided.

Qualifications

• MC (Multi Combination) licence required.
• Dangerous Goods (DG) licence/authority required for the role.
• Minimum 3 years' experience transporting dangerous goods.
• Clean driving record with strong safety commitment.
• MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) or willingness to obtain one.
• Desirable: experience operating bulk liquids transport; BF M accreditation; forklift licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate MC-licensed heavy vehicles to transport and deliver bulk liquids.
• Safely handle and transport dangerous goods in accordance with regulations.
• Follow correct loading, unloading and product-handling procedures.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and vehicle safety checks.
• Comply with HVNL, CoR, fatigue management and load restraint requirements.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch and the operations team.

The Role

Based from our Smithfield depot, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of bulk liquids, including chemicals, edible oils and other liquid products, to various customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating MC-licensed heavy vehicles to transport and deliver bulk liquids.
• Safely handling and transporting dangerous goods in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures.
• Following correct loading, unloading and product-handling procedures.
• Conducting daily pre-start inspections and vehicle safety checks.
• Complying with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and load restraint requirements.
• Completing delivery paperwork and electronic documentation accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment.
• Communicating effectively with customers, dispatch and the operations team.
• Representing the business professionally and delivering excellent customer service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current MC (Multi Combination) licence.
• A current Dangerous Goods (DG) licence/authority, as required for the role.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience working with dangerous goods.
• A clean driving record and a strong commitment to road safety.
• A current MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) or willingness to obtain one.
• Previous experience transporting bulk liquids, chemicals, edible oils or similar products.
• A strong understanding of transport safety, fatigue management and compliance requirements.
• A professional attitude, strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability, punctuality and flexibility to work early starts and extended shifts.

Desirable

• Previous experience in bulk liquid transportation.
• Experience operating prime movers, semi-trailers and B-Double combinations, where applicable to the role.
• BFM accreditation or willingness to obtain it.
• Forklift licence.
