Job summary

Curtin University invites applications for a Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor to lead Curtin Medical School’s MBBS program. You will shape a five-year curriculum, supervise year-level coordinators, and advance accreditation and quality assurance across the degree.

You will collaborate with clinical partners to deliver a contemporary education, monitor student progression and wellbeing, and contribute to strategic curriculum development and research in medical education.

Qualifications

  • Health/medical degree with current unrestricted AHPRA registration (desirable).
  • PhD or Clinical Fellowship qualifications (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience with curriculum development or educational initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic leadership across the MBBS program and ensure delivery of a contemporary curriculum.
  • Oversee enrolments, leave approvals, and CSP allocations across Years 1-5.
  • Support Year Coordinators to ensure quality, evaluation and enhancement of the MBBS curriculum.
  • Monitor student progression, wellbeing, and learning needs in collaboration with Year Coordinators.
  • Lead communication with MBBS cohorts regarding academic and course requirements.
  • Prepare documentation for course reviews, accreditation, and quality assurance.
  • Represent the MBBS program on School/University committees and key stakeholder groups.
