Job summary

Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an experienced Matron to lead Maternity services with visible professional leadership across obstetric and neonatal care. You will drive quality, safety, patient experience and workforce development, ensuring high standards of woman-centred care and continuous improvement.

The Matron will manage budgeted resources, lead multidisciplinary teams, and collaborate with divisional leaders to deliver safe, compassionate care for women and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong clinical and operational leadership to ensure safe, effective and woman-centred care.
• Coordinate and assure highest standards of care as measured by performance indicators.
• Lead and encourage practice development initiatives and innovation.
• Manage budgets and resources to support divisional efficiency targets and workforce planning.
• Drive Patient Experience and Involvement strategies to improve patient satisfaction.
• Represent the Department on committees and working groups as required.
