The role covers Range 1 and Range 2 classifications with opportunities to mentor, collaborate and contribute to school priorities. A strong focus on data-informed instruction, curriculum knowledge and ongoing professional learning is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the curriculum with literacy and numeracy integration.
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating their impact.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning using data and providing feedback.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, colleagues and the wider school community.
• Commitment to professional learning and reflecting on practice to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area.
• Undertake other classroom teaching and organizational duties as directed by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Supervise and train student teachers and use data to inform teaching approaches.
