Job summary

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is seeking a capable Ward Clerk for the Maternity Ward on a part-time fixed term contract. You will provide administrative support, customer-focused service, and reception duties, contributing to a positive patient experience.

The role involves a five-day roster (Mon–Fri) with negotiable days and times for the right candidate, and welcomes strong communication and organizational skills to support the maternity team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Commitment to facilitating a positive customer experience.
• Experience in clerical and reception duties.

Responsibilities

• Answering telephone, taking messages and answering routine questions.
• Maintaining vacation schedule and master staff whereabouts.
• Typing and distributing communications, meeting minutes and presentations.
• Assisting in payments, expense processing and charge card reconciliation.
