Job summary

Acknowledge Education in Melbourne is seeking a Lecturer of Master of Social Work (Qualifying) to lead the ongoing development, delivery, and enhancement of the program, ensuring compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework and a high-quality, student-centered experience. You will map units and stay current with best practices, contributing to student success.

Working from home during non-teaching hours is an option for this position.

Qualifications

• PhD in Social Work or a Masters in Social Work with 5 years of experience.
• Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Experience developing tertiary subject curricula and teaching materials.
• Ability to coordinate and administer the successful delivery of tertiary subjects.
• High professional conduct, resilience, and collaboration with industry engagement.
• Strong understanding of social work theory and practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct face to face teaching and student engagement sessions and learning materials.
• Develop learning materials including study guides, webinars, and assessment instructions.
• Provide study assistance to students via the LMS, phone, or email.
• Encourage the engagement of students in their studies.
• Marking student assessments in accordance with policies.
• Identifying and liaising with students at risk and establishing individual learning plans.
• Maintaining subject sites on the Learning Management System.
